| Our practice has established a reputation for creative design based on a sensitive approach to each site. We passionately believe in good, simple, robust design and are total committed to sustainability.
Our primary practice philosophy is based around consultation and involvement. We always work closely with clients and actively seek opinions and ideas from potential building users and others who may be affected by our designs. This ensures that overall satisfaction levels with the finished project are high and much of our work comes via recommendation or repeat business. Our practice is regularly requested to provide feasibility work for large scale strategic planning and also to assist community groups and individuals in project planning and funding. |

| Solar Tree, Derby SureStart Centre The garden around which our SureStart children's centre is organised needed a form. Our clients, who were an inspiration to work with, managed to secure a grant for six photovoltaic solar cells. The intention was to use these to power the batteries for an electric minibus. There was no particular need therefore to mount them on the roof of the building. We saw this as an opportunity to create a focal point for the garden, as well as to help the children think about sustainability - hence the term 'Solar Tree'. |
