B. Payne and Son Ltd. has recently purchased the Pharmacy in Cromford formally owned and run by Mary Winterburn MRPharmS,
who has now retired from full time work. Mary remains fit and active and can often be seen at Old Trafford (She has been a
season ticket holder there for many years), at many other Premiership football grounds (She supports Manchester United at
many of their away fixtures as well) or at either our Cromford or Wirksworth Pharmacy.
The Pharmacy in Cromford is also an historic building, originally owned by the Arkwright family. Cromford itself is part
of a World Heritage Site, the Derwent Valley Heritage Site, as it was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
